so in these photos i wanted to demonstrate that with a low 'F' stop the objects nearest would be in focus and the background wouldn't..with a higher number the background becomes clearer. the dolls were placed at different distances..
this first one is shot on f4
this second one has an 'f'stop of 22..the background is also clear..
i don't own a tripod so used the self timer.. (anyone recommend a good/cheap tripod?)
the same with these two using the same numbers:
processing etc
i use aperture programme on my Mac and found the 'black point' button...
they are cropped slightly differently and i think i did auto enhance...on one of them...i like the first one...
Landscapes
i read somewhere that the best landscape images are taken either at sunrise or sunset..
so me and the dog were out in Longford Park at well early 'oh'clock...this is the moon..a harvest moon? a taurus moon? whatever..it's the moon... black point and some other fiddling with made it look like this...
Longford Park - again (expect more from this venue)
black point and fancy cropping...Rothko?
here's some i made earlier :
composition
i knew about the rule of thirds and lines but i didn't know about triangles so i had a look back and realised i'd done triangles before...
i use my camera everyday either my Olympus E620 or my iphone and publish it on an online photo journal Blipfoto..
